Nur für die Behandlung von adipösen Patienten mit Diabetes Typ II, die gleichzeitig mit einem/mehreren oralen Antidiabetikum/Antidiabetika behandelt werden. Die Behandlung muss nach 6 Monaten abgebrochen werden, wenn der Gewichtsverlust nicht mindestens 5 kg des Körpergewichts zu Beginn der Medikation und/oder die Reduktion des HbA1c-Wertes nicht mindestens 0,5% beträgt. Bei Erreichen des Ziels wird die Therapie bis auf maximal 2 Jahre verlängert.
