Der Einsatz wird bei allen Patienten vergütet, bei denen sich ein kompletter Enzymmangel bereits im Neugeborenenalter (innerhalb der ersten 28 Lebenstage) manifestiert hat. Bei Patienten mit einer spätmanifesten Form (inkompletter Enzymdefekt, der sich nach dem ersten Lebensmonat manifestiert) wird das Arzneimittel nur dann vergütet, wenn in der Anamnese eine hyperammonämische Enzephalopathie besteht.
Bei PHEBURANE beträgt die maximale vergütete Dosis 20g/ Tag.
Die Erstverschreibung von PHEBURANE muss in den folgenden Zentren erfolgen:
- Referenzzentrum für seltene Stoffwechselkrankheiten des Inselspitals Bern
- Referenzzentrum für seltene Stoffwechselkrankheiten des centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois (CHUV) Lausanne
