Nur zur second-line Behandlung des ADHS, d.h. bei Unverträglichkeit, Kontraindikation oder nicht Ansprechen von Methylphenidat bei Kindern ab 6 Jahren und Jugendlichen im Rahmen einer therapeutischen Gesamtstrategie. Wenn Patienten über 1 Jahr hinaus behandelt werden, so hat eine erneute Überprüfung der Behandlungsnotwendigkeit durch einen Arzt zu erfolgen, der über das notwendige Fachwissen in der Behandlung des ADHS verfügt.
Erwachsene
Nur zur second-line Behandlung des ADHS bei Erwachsenen bis 50 Jahren mit einer seit dem Kindesalter fortbestehenden ADHS im Rahmen einer therapeutischen Gesamtstrategie, für die eine Behandlung mit Stimulanzien, wie methylphenidathaltigen Arzneimitteln, aufgrund von begleitenden psychiatrischen oder Sucht-Erkrankungen nicht in Frage kommt oder die nicht ausreichend auf methylphenidathaltige Arzneimittel angesprochen haben. Die Diagnosestellung und initiale Verordnung hat durch einen Facharzt der Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie mit Spezialisierung auf Behandlung des ADHS zu erfolgen. Die Diagnose hat anhand der Kriterien resp. Richtlinien der Fachinformation zu erfolgen. Wenn Patienten über 1 Jahr hinaus behandelt werden, so hat eine erneute Überprüfung der Behandlungsnotwendigkeit durch einen Facharzt der Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie mit Spezialisierung auf Behandlung des ADHS zu erfolgen.
