XOFIGO wird bei Patienten mit kastrationsresistentem Prostatakarzinom (CRPC) und symptomatischen Knochenmetastasen ohne bekannte viszerale Metastasen vergütet, wenn eine Chemotherapie nicht indiziert ist oder bei Progredienz nach Docetaxel und dabei nicht gleichzeitig mit einer Androgendeprivationstherapie (ADT) der zweiten Generation (zum Beispiel Abirateronacetat und Enzalutamid), nicht mit zielgerichteten Therapien (zum Beispiel Olaparib) sowie nicht mit Cabazitaxel oder Docetaxel. Es werden maximal 6 Therapiezyklen vergütet. Bei nicht orchiektomierten Patienten soll eine antiandrogene Behandlung zur Suppression des Testosteronspiegels auf Kastrationsniveau weitergeführt werden.
