Zur Behandlung von Patienten mit einem Typ 2 Diabetes mellitus, welche zusätzlich zu diätetischen Massnahmen und körperlicher Aktivität keine adäquate Blutzuckerkontrolle erzielen und
- mit der maximal tolerierten Dosis Metformin oder
- mit der maximal tolerierten Dosis Metformin zusätzlich zu einem Sulfonylharnstoff und/oder einem Insulin behandelt werden und dabei keine adäquate Blutzuckerkontrolle erzielen oder
- in Kombination mit einem GLP1-1-Analogon oder
- bereits mit Empagliflozin und Metformin als separate Tabletten behandelt werden.
Es wird maximal eine Tagesdosierung von 10 mg Empagliflozin vergütet.
