Limitation
This preparation is reimbursed only under the conditions below. The text is the binding FOPH wording; outside those conditions basic insurance does not pay.

Die Vergütung einer neuverschriebenen INEGY-Therapie ist zudem möglich bei:
- Patienten mit hohem Risiko gemäss AGLA-Risikokategorie, die Atorvastatin und Rosuvastatin nicht vertragen und den LDL-Zielwert - Patienten mit sehr hohem Risiko gemäss AGLA-Risikokategorie, die Atorvastatin und Rosuvastatin nicht vertragen und den LDL-Zielwert - Patienten mit Statin-Intoleranz, d.h. Patienten, die bei Einnahme eines Statins nicht tolerierbare Muskelschmerzen und/oder messbare Muskelschwäche und/oder eine Erhöhung der Creatininkinase >5x des oberen Grenzwertes aufweisen. Vor der Verschreibung von INEGY ist ein anderes Statin und, sofern dies nicht vertragen wird, Atorvastatin oder Rosuvastatin 5-10 mg 1-2x pro Woche auszuprobieren.

Is Inegy covered by Swiss health insurance?
Yes, but only under conditions. Inegy is on the Specialities List with a limitation: basic insurance reimburses it only when the conditions in the limitation text are met, in some cases only after the insurer has granted cost approval.
