Zenon is an originator product from Sanofi-Aventis (Suisse) SA and is listed on the FOPH Specialities List. Swiss mandatory health insurance therefore reimburses it within the authorised indication. ZENON wird bei erwachsenen Patienten mit primärer Hypercholesterinämie/homozygote familiärer Hypercholesterinämie (HoFH) vergütet:
 - mit hohem Risiko gemäss AGLA-Risikokategorie, die den LDL-Zielwert  - mit sehr hohem Risiko gemäss AGLA-Risikokategorie, die den LDL-Zielwert  - mit Statin-Intoleranz, d.h. Patienten, die bei Einnahme eines Statins nicht tolerierbare Muskelschmerzen und/oder messbare Muskelschwäche und/oder eine Erhöhung der Creatininkinase >5x des oberen Grenzwertes aufweisen. Vor der Verschreibung von ZENON ist Atorvastatin oder Rosuvastatin 5-10 mg 1-2x pro Woche auszuprobieren.
 - die bereits Ezetimib und Rosuvastatin als separate Tabletten in der gleichen Dosierungsstärke erhalten und die Kriterien entsprechend der Limitierungen der Ezetimib- und Rosuvastatin-Monopräparate erfüllen.

ZENON wird als Ersatztherapie bei erwachsenen Patienten zur sekundären Prävention kardiovaskulärer Ereignisse vergütet, die bereits Ezetimib und Rosuvastatin als separate Tabletten in der gleichen Dosierungsstärke erhalten und die Kriterien entsprechend der Limitierungen der Ezetimib- und Rosuvastatin-Monopräparate erfüllen.
