Anwendung bei erfolgversprechenden, stark myelotoxischen Chemotherapien bei Patienten, die wegen eingeschränkter Knochenmarkreserven besonders infektionsgefährdet sind.
NEUPOGEN ist indiziert für die Mobilisierung von Vorläuferzellen des peripheren Blutes (PBPC) vor einer Leukapherese, um bei Patienten mit myelosuppressiver Behandlung durch eine Transplantation solcher Zellen die hämatologische Wiederherstellung zu beschleunigen.
Schwere kongenitale Neutropenie (Kostman Syndrom), zyklische Neutropenie, chronische idiopathische Neutropenie (Langzeitanwendung zur Erhöhung der neutrophilen Granulozytenzahl Bereich 1000 bis 3000 Granulozyten pro mcl und Reduktion der Infektionen bei Kindern und Erwachsenen mit klinisch signifikanten Infektionen während der vergangenen 12 Monate und dreimalig dokumentierter schwerster Neutropenie (< 0.5 x 10^9 ANC/l) während 6 Monaten und nach Ausschluss von reaktiv bedingten Neutropenien Vitamin B12 Mangel, Autoimmunkrankheiten).
