- Die Einleitung der Behandlung nach Ausschluss eines HWI oder anderer erkennbarer Ursachen durch einen Facharzt der Urologie oder Gynäkologie mit Schwerpunkt Urogynäkologie erfolgt
- Hunner Läsionen und/oder Glomerulationen zystoskopisch nachgewiesen wurden
- die Erkrankung nicht auf orale Therapien wie klassische und neuropathische Analgetika, Anticholinergika, Antihistaminika und klassische nicht-medikamentöse Ansätze angesprochen hat oder diese nach Ansicht des behandelnden Facharztes nicht indiziert sind
- keine gleichzeitige Behandlung mit Blaseninstillationen stattfindet.
Ist nach 6 Monaten Behandlung keine Besserung ersichtlich, soll auf eine andere geeignetere Therapie umgestellt werden. Bei Ansprechen soll die Behandlung alle 3-6 Monate neu evaluiert werden.
